Values in Action

Having joined HKIS only three months ago, I remain overwhelmed with the warmth and generosity of the HKIS community. This extends to HKIS alumni like you, who with every conversation demonstrate what it means to live out the values that HKIS instills in all who have attended the school.

Life-long learning. Seeking challenges. Integrity. Faith. These aren’t simply words, but the characteristics I see in each HKIS alumni I’ve met so far.

This edition of DragonTales highlights the alumni stories, events and gatherings that took place this past year and honors the alumni we have lost. It also acknowledges those whose commitment to HKIS is to keep our global alumni community connected and who support our programs and mission.

Going forward, Hillary Sandeen (Alumni Relations) and I hope that you continue sharing your stories, contributions and journeys. In so many ways, you shine a light on the path that today’s HKIS students are traveling. They see in your accomplishments, your challenges overcome, your volunteer work and community service what the future holds for them.

The role you play in the HKIS community is so powerful. Thank you for being part of the legacy of HKIS!
