ALUMNI WEEKEND: FAREWELL INVITATIONAL TOURNAMENT
Image
Over Thanksgiving weekend in November 2023, alumni returned to the Tai Tam campus with their families to take part in the alumni basketball game and activities organized by the HKIS Advancement Office in conjunction with the Holiday Basketball Tournament.

A great turnout! It was special to have so many Dragons back on campus to bid farewell to the current High School gym with a casual 3-on-3 tournament.
This year’s tournament was coined “The Farewell Invitational” because it is the last year the tournament took place in the original Tai Tam HS gym before the opening of the Student Activity Center next school year. This new Center will be adjacent to the Tai Tam field and home to High School and Middle School athletics and PE spaces and classes including the gym, pool, tennis courts, weight room, dance studios, etc. You can visit the microsite here to learn more about this exciting new space.

There were family members of all ages cheering on the alum!
Thanks to HK Chapter — Alumni Association Board Members Wei Hao Kiow ‘06 and Justino Liang ‘01 for organizing the alumni basketball game and “3 on 3” round robin tournament. Family and friends were dazzled by the level of “skills” on display and alumni loved the opportunity to play in their old gym again. Following the games, alumni were treated to pizza, cold drinks, and delicious desserts.

Thanks to current and former faculty members Joanne Brown, George Coombs, Zita Thompson, who traveled from the US along with alums Michael Thompson ‘89, Katy (Thompson) Ottesen ‘93, Faith Fischer ‘94, Andrea Pulito ‘94 and Brenda (Pulito) Runion ‘94 to take part in alumni festivities, and to the many Hong Kong-based alumni who made the weekend so memorable.
