MESSAGE FROM HKIS HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL AIMMIE KELLAR
Where Did the Time Go?
On May 31, 2024, we celebrated 157 amazing and accomplished High School seniors as they walked across the stage to receive their diplomas and become the 57th graduating class of Hong Kong International School.
As any graduate, or parent, will attest, this was a day that started off so far in the distance that it initially seemed more like a dream–something that you work towards but never fully believe will arrive. However, after years of hard work and dedication, friendships and connections, joys and struggle, the day finally arrives and you wonder–where did the time go?
Each student takes their own route to get to graduation, one that is shaped by their unique talents and choices. We are proud of each and every graduate who walked across our stage; every member of the Class of 2024 is now off to blaze their unique path in academia, business, the arts, sciences, service, athletics, or wherever life takes them. In addition, however, there are so many others who are proud to stand in support behind each graduate–parents, friends, teachers, and community members. A special thanks to all of you, because if you are reading this issue of DragonTales, then you have most likely had a role in the life of a graduate at some point. Your care, guidance, and influence have helped to form the accomplished adults of the Class of 2024 who now join the ranks of our distinguished alumni.

We hope that this special section gives you a glimpse into the celebration and spirit of the Class of 2024 and all that they have accomplished. They represent the best of our community and their graduation is the culmination of the experiences and connections that HKIS strives to provide for all of its students.

On behalf of the HKIS High School Faculty, Staff, and Administration, we extend our congratulations and best wishes to the Class of 2024. We cannot wait to hear where your path will take you next,
