A MESSAGE TO OUR GRADUATES FROM HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL AIMMIE KELLAR

You Are Ready

It was the summer of 2021 when you began your high school journey—stepping into a world filled with uncertainty. Maybe you were unsure about your friend groups, wondering how high school would compare to middle school. Perhaps you had just moved to a new community, or maybe your uncertainty reflected the state of the world at that time.

And now, four long and short years later, as we gather to celebrate your graduation, we find ourselves once again in uncertain times. This time, the questions may be different—about moving away from friends and family, possibly to a new country, choosing a major, or navigating the ever-changing—and still uncertain—world around us.

The truth is, the world has changed—and so have we. Things are different now, and they will just keep changing. In light of this truth, one thing is certain: there will always be something new to face. Life will constantly bring us fresh challenges, new questions, and unexpected beginnings and endings.

But you are ready.

As you stand on the edge of this new chapter, I sincerely hope that high school is not the best time of your life. Not because you don’t have amazing friends, and lasting connections, and not because you haven’t grown and learned, and changed in wonderful ways these past four years. Not because it wasn’t meaningful—but because there is so much more ahead. Look forward—to college, university, a gap year, to careers, to travel, to relationships, to families, to unexpected turns and exciting changes.

The best is yet to come.

Still, I hope you remember your time here with fondness. Remember the struggles you overcame, the joy you shared, and the growth you experienced. It is all rolled in to who you are today, and is the strong foundation of who you will be tomorrow. We hope we supported you through it all, and that we’ve helped prepare you for what’s next. Congratulations, Class of 2025.

We are so proud of you.
