Mrs. Mulligan
After 29 incredible years at Hong Kong International School, Ms. Dee Mulligan is preparing to retire, leaving behind a legacy that’s truly cellebratory! Known for her engaging Honors Biology classes, Ms. Mulligan has inspired countless students, helping them grow from organisms of doubt into confident scientists.
“I've always loved working with teenagers because of their sarcasm, excitement and earnestness to learn.”
Dee Mulligan
Her journey at HKS began in 1995, starting as a substitute teacher. She quickly discovered her passion for molding young minds—especially during those wonderful moments when students first grasp the complexities of biology. Over the years, she has taught a variety of subjects, including marine biology and forensic science, always making sure her lessons are anything but elementary.
Ms. Mulligan has also played a pivotal role in the school’s scuba diving trips to Southeast Asia, where students experience firsthand the wonders of marine ecosystems. With a knack for turning students into divers of knowledge, she’s always encouraged them to explore the depths of their curiosity.
