THANK YOU PARENTS!
Since 1972, the Parent Faculty Organization (PFO) has nurtured an active school community by engaging parents, students and faculty in various special events and initiatives. The PFO strengthens communication and relationships between families and the school, thanks to the dedicated support of volunteers. Now, more than 50 years since its founding, the PFO organizes more than 20 events and initiatives each year – uniting the HKIS community. All proceeds are granted to the school to support its mission across all divisions.

Pioneering Educational Experiences
The PFO's mission is to support the HKIS community by reinvesting proceeds to enrich student, faculty, and family experiences through school-wide events, Lunar New Year celebrations, and faculty appreciation programs.
This year, the PFO established the PFO Innovation Endowed Fund (PIE Fund) with an initial grant of $1.5 million to support innovative projects without timing or budget constraints. The fund focuses on initiatives that benefit all students and the broader community, emphasizing pioneering educational experiences and new teaching methods. The PFO is committed to growing the PIEF and fostering meaningful change at HKIS.

“ PFO has done so much more than bridging the school together with families. Participating as a volunteer from small initiatives to large celebrations throughout the years has helped foster many meaningful friendships and connections. ”
