HKIS IMPACT
ALUMNI UPDATES
HONG KONG CHAPTER
Our HK alumni chapter continues to grow! With HKIS’ 60th anniversary celebrations underway, we were excited to have had the opportunity to work closely with the school, bringing our alumni community back to campus. Beyond the anniversary celebrations, we also continued to drive activities that continue to carry the same values and purpose HKIS is guided by.
HK HIGHLIGHTS
Bringing alumni back to campus to celebrate key milestones, including the opening of the DCAA, as well as the school’s homecoming celebrations where alumni were able to go down memory lane with former faculty. We were incredibly lucky to have had Mr. Jim Handrich, Mrs. Janet Taylor, and many other former faculty join us.
The always popular holiday drinks brought together alums for an evening of drinks and light bites. Alums got to hear from the school about the 60th anniversary celebrations, as well as reconnect and meet new alums across the decades.
Continuing with our commitment to service, we supported Mother’s Choice “Stride for Hope” community sports and fundraising event. Their Alumni board, on top and additional 30+ Alums in Hong Kong participated.

London CHAPTER
It's been a great year for HKIS alumni in London! Beyond our official gathering back in March, friends from across the grades have kept the connections going all year - including a recent birthday celebration (pictured) that brought people together once again. Whether it's grabbing drinks, catching up over dinner, or just running into each other around the city, the community here keeps growing stronger. Looking ahead, we'll be scheduling an official event in October to welcome all the new students and recent arrivals to London - so keep an eye out for details soon!

SINGAPORE CHAPTER
It has been a steady year for the Singapore chapter! We got together twice over the past twelve months, with our annual calendar anchored by our year-end gathering to welcome the HKIS Advancement team and visiting alums. We were also thrilled to welcome several new arrivals to sunny Singapore this year. We are excited to keep building our community here and have more events in the pipeline - watch this space!

HKIS Internship Program
The HKIS Summer Internship Program demonstrates the power of the HKIS community to support and inspire the next generation. Through opportunities provided by alumni, current parents, and friends of HKIS, High School students and young alumni have gained meaningful workplace experience, explored potential career paths, and developed professional skills across a variety of industries.
"The experience I gained was truly invaluable. From day one, Julia and the others at the company were especially welcoming, and I was mentored along the way and learned about different sub sectors of finance, which helped me gain clarity about what I may want to one day pursue."
Isabella Lin '25, Wellesley Partners Intern

A longstanding supporter of the program, Derek Kwik ’86 has helped connect students with internship opportunities through his startup network for many years, offering a unique pathway for students to explore emerging industries. In addition to opening doors to these experiences, he returned to campus this year to share career insights with High School students, further strengthening the culture of mentorship and connection that defines the HKIS community.
