Enter the Dragon

On an unforgettable day in early November, the HKIS community came together in celebration of a historic occasion for the school, as the doors of the Dragon Center for Activities & Athletics (DCAA) were finally opened after months of anticipation.

A strong spirit of unity and collaboration infused the Community Day’s planning and proceedings: the event brought together the unmatched energy of the Booster Club, the beloved festival traditions of the PFO, dynamic programming by HKIS faculty and staff, the heartfelt enthusiasm of our alumni, and of course countless student athletes, performers and ambassadors—all in one magnificent celebration of our school community!

There was a palpable excitement in the air as visitors were able to tour the new Dragon Center and even try the facilities first-hand in some instances.

We are hugely grateful to our major donors and sponsors for their generosity in helping to bring the facility’s vision to life. The Dragon Center is the first of three major capital projects that will transform the Tai Tam Campus in the next few years, setting HKIS for continued excellence going into its next sixty years.

Congratulations are due to the Facilities Management Team for the successful completion of the Dragon Center project. This achievement was no small feat, with numerous challenges and obstacles overcome along the way.
