Homecoming concluded with a special Celebration of Service that honored the foundational role service has played in the HKIS community since the school's founding and its continued impact. The event featured a dedication ceremony and unveiling of a plaque in the High School Plaza honoring beloved former High School Principal Jim Handrich and his enduring contributions to HKIS. Past and present recipients of the James A. Handrich Service Leadership Fund shared their personal journeys of service and leadership, illustrating the lasting impact of the program while inspiring current students and future generations to lead lives of purpose and service.
"Thank you so very sincerely for the incredible effort you and your team put into making the week feel welcoming and informative...this week absolutely made me feel like a part of this community again."
