Parent Faculty
Organization (PFO)
Since 1972, the Parent Faculty Organization (PFO) has been at the heart of the HKIS community, bringing parents, students, and faculty together. Thanks to our dedicated volunteers, the PFO organizes various events and initiatives that bridge home and school life throughout the school year. True to our mission, 100% of proceeds are granted back to the school to enrich experiences across all divisions—from campus-wide gatherings to faculty appreciation programs and cultural celebrations.

A New Era for Community Engagement: Capitalizing on the DCAA Opening
This year marked a historic milestone for our community as the beloved Pumpkin Festival made way to celebrate the grand opening of the DCAA. This state-of-the-art activities and athletics center represents a major leap forward for our campus footprint. To ensure the community felt an immediate connection to the space, the PFO designed and executed the PFO Scramble, focused on discovery and engagement. By turning exploration into a game, the event successfully familiarized families and students with our new building while promoting physical activity and teamwork.
Inaugural Quiz Night: Cultivating Faculty-Parent Partnerships
Bridging the gap between home and school, the PFO also debuted the Inaugural Quiz Night. Designed exclusively for parents and faculty, this event provided a unique, relaxed venue for building social capital and strengthening community ties. The evening successfully blended healthy competition with networking, establishing a meaningful new tradition that we look forward to growing in the coming years.
