“These two days in March stretched students’ thinking, provided opportunities to engage in creative, collaborative experiences and helped build new relationships”
HKIS Dragons are resilient, creative, and collaborative! With Covid restrictions impacting plans for Interim this year, the High School created an alternative experience for students: Dragon Challenge. These two days in March stretched students’ thinking, provided opportunities to engage in creative, collaborative experiences and helped build new relationships across the grade levels. The campus came alive and spirited as students built and launched rockets, designed Escape Rooms, engaged in Murder Mystery challenges, and teamed up for The Amazing Race. Some other highlights included: the completion of three 7,000-piece Lego structures, a partnership with the Lower Primary to write and illustrate several children’s books, designing and painting a beautiful mural outside the art department, and creating a peaceful garden on the second floor. The event was so successful that we look forward to embedding a day of Dragon Challenges into the calendar for next year, in addition to Interim!
