Thank You Parents!

As we approach the final few days of the 2024-2025 school year, I wanted to say a DRAGON-SIZED THANK YOU to all of our Booster Club Volunteers! You really made the magic happen this year and turned an ordinary day into an extraordinary day for all of our students, athletes, and artists! Here are just a few numbers to show how much we accomplished together:

Over 500 of YOU volunteered at Booster Club events! This meant you spent 950 hours giving out 48,350 treats to students in all grades, along with those in Athletics and Arts! We hope you had as much fun as we did!

And don’t forget Torch. Our mascot is coming in hot with over 30 appearances!

The Dragon Shop has been open for 167 days and we have had 736 volunteers work over 2,200 hours, not to mention the 460 kg (!!) of candy given out in the shop to some hungry high schoolers.

Last, but certainly not least, we gave out $110,000 to this year’s Booster Club Grants recipients.

In closing, I want to say a personal thank you to the whole community for all of your support of Booster Club. It was an honor to serve, and I am thrilled to pass the “torch” to your new Booster Club president Sara Sundberg and your 2025-26 BC Board .

As we approach the end of another school year, our campuses are alive with the energy of year-end celebrations—honoring resilience, collaboration, achievement, friendship, and the joy of completion.
The PFO is celebrating something just as meaningful—the strength of our community. This year, we experienced a community that is positive, supportive, talented, dedicated, engaged, and generous.

A heartfelt thank you to our students, parents, teachers, staff, and administrators for showing up, signing up, and getting involved in so many ways. From Pumpkin Festival and World’s Fair to Lunar New Year celebrations, community clubs, staff and teacher appreciation efforts, and Book Fair—none of it would have been possible without your spirit of volunteerism and heart for service.

As I conclude my term as PFO President, I want to express my deep gratitude to our Head of School Ron Roukema for his steadfast leadership and support, and to the entire PFO Board for their unwavering commitment and dedication.

It is now my pleasure to pass the baton to Shaline Gnanalingam, our incoming PFO President. With the full support of the Board, she will continue to lead our efforts in building community and supporting the mission of our beloved school.

It has been an absolute privilege and honor to serve this incredible community. Wishing you all a joyful and restful summer.
